In addition to having a dramatic impact on increasing revenue, taking wholesale orders is generally very low risk, especially compared with selling direct to consumers D2C. This is because most wholesale orders are placed 3 - 9 months in advance of delivery, and wholesale pre-orders usually generate a deposit of between 30% - 50%, with the full balance either before delivery or within 30 days.

These terms are usually much less risky than selling direct to consumer D2C as no stock is needed to begin a sales campaign, with the bulk of items being made to order.
